The local government of Camarines Sur on Wednesday said six bodies were washed ashore at dawn on the coastlines of Pasacao and Libmanan towns. Officials believe that the victims were passengers of the sunken M/V Princess of the Stars that capsized off Sibuyan Island in Romblon province over the weekend.

The bodies recovered in Pasacao have been identified through their belongings.

Diana Rose Laborte was from Villa Estelita in Bulalacao, Talisay City in Negros Occidental. Orlando Cuevas, 61, meanwhile, is a retired Philippine Air Force officer and was from Dela Serna in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu province.

Authorities believe the two were passengers of the ill-fated passenger vessel that encountered huge waves on its way to Cebu at the height of typhoon Frank's onslaught on Saturday.

Officials said that the victims' families have been notified of their relatives' fate.

The two other bodies, meanwhile, have yet to be retrieved.

In Libmanan town, authorities said they recovered two more bodies along the coastline of Barangay Tinalmok.
